National Bank of Oman conducts Hayyakom programme for newcomers

National Bank of Oman’s Academy of Excellence, the training arm of the Bank, conducted a Hayyakom programme to welcome and induct new employees.​​

During the program, 20 new employees from across the National Bank of Oman were provided with a detailed insight into the key rights, responsibilities of the employee and obligations of the Bank. Alongside, the Bank’s new vision and core values and information on the Bank’s distinguished history and senior management were also shared with the new staff members.

National Bank of Oman’s Chief Human Resource Officer Nasser Al Hajri said: “At National Bank of Oman, we believe that it is important for new employees to be comfortable in their working environment, as well as building a long-lasting bond with other team members. The Hayyakom programme, along with each individual’s specific role-focused training, provides the perfect platform for launching the career on the right note and helps newcomers understand what is required to achieve the high-level of success that the Bank expects.” 

One of the participants said: “The Hayyakom induction was a great way to start my time at National Bank of Oman and will help me immensely in my new role. The one day programme has been very helpful to learn about the Bank while also being introduced to co-workers from different divisions of the business. I look forward to  a fulfilling career in the bank..”

NBO Academy of Excellence has been spearheading a transformation within the organization by equipping and training its people on key areas of technical banking and general management. .
